A town-hall meeting will be held in McDonough, to enable residents in District 3 to share their concerns, and get answers to questions they have about their community.
The meeting is scheduled for June 29, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., in the Henry County Schools administration building, at 33 North Zack Hinton Pkwy. It will be hosted by McDonough Mayor Billy Copeland, and District 3 Councilman Wayne Smith. The meeting is the second in a series of district-based gatherings to be held throughout the year, according Copeland. He said the occasion is part of his fulfillment of a promise he made during his 2009 re-election campaign. "We're just giving people an opportunity to ask questions about any issues in their district," he said. "It's something we hope to have every quarter." Copeland said representatives from McDonough's public-safety agencies, will be in attendance for the meeting.
