Max is a 3 year old orange tabby, domestic shorthair. Max has been neutered and fully vaccinated. Max and his mom, Britt (also still available for adoption) came into CCHS on April 1, 2007, when Max was only ONE DAY OLD!! Max and his siblings had been born at Animal Control, and CCHS was asked to rescue the little family before the kittens could become ill. Sadly, here we are three years later, and Max and Britt have still not found homes. Max is an adorable little guy, who for some reason, never really grew very much. Even though he is a male, he has remained a fairly small cat. CCHS is hoping that Max might gain a little weight once he is out of the stressful environment of the shelter. Max is a really sweet little guy, who craves affection and attention from people. He also has a funky little quirk.....he loves to be held upside down! When Max was a tiny baby, a CCHS staff person noticed that when she picked Max up, he would immediately try to bend backwards with his head tilted down. Nobody really understands, but this seems to be a position that Max really likes, so everyone has adjusted to his strange little need, and Max is often times seen being held upside down!!! Max just celebrated his third birthday yesterday, unfortunately it also marked his third anniversary at the CCHS shelter; please don't let Max spend his next birthday as an orphan.
