Mikey is a 9 year old Poodle. He has been neutered and all vaccinations are current. Mikey first came to CCHS when a homeless man asked for help with his three dogs. Living on the streets, with no food, shelter or money, he was concerned that he could no longer feed and care for his three best friends. All three dogs were taken in by CCHS and they were soon adopted into new homes. Unfortunately, Mikey went into a home where he was caged often, and when Mikey learned how to escape the cage, he was returned to CCHS. Mikey was soon adopted again, but when the new family attempted to confine Mikey in a cage, Mikey resisted and was again returned. Mikey is absolutely no problem at the CCHS shelter. He simply does not want to live in a cage. CCHS is looking for a mature home, with no children.....a home where Mikey can wander the home freely (inside) and be allowed to live outside of a cage. Given the opportunity, Mikey will curl up on the couch with some lucky person, and will be the best friend anyone could wish to have. For more information about Mikey, please call Clayton County Humane Society at 770/471-9436. Visit www.claytoncountyhumane.org to see other animals available for adoption.
