Lucky's Italian Ristorante' on the square in downtown Jackson has been in operation for five years, and does an amazing job bringing the taste of Italy to our community at a reasonable price.

You can enjoy casual dining in a warmly lit and well-decorated atmosphere consisting of crisp white table cloths and an intimate table setting. Lucky's is an exceptional place to wind down after a long day at work and enjoy the company of loved-ones or friends while you listen to the soft sounds of easy listening in the background.

You can taste the detail put into the menu at Lucky's, which easily puts any Italian-food chain to shame.

I had the lasagna. It was a huge portion of the things that make lasagna delicious. The entree came covered in a heaping camouflage of scrumptious cheese, but what surprised me was the taste of the sauce. It is not your run of the mill chain restaurant sauce.

The sauce was seasoned so well that it gave me an enjoyable karate kick to my pallet. I didn't need to add salt and pepper for flavor like I often have to do when I go out to eat.

At Lucky's, you'll find this killer lasagna and many other great meals: Stuffed shells; chicken parmigiana, marsala, and cacciatore, and spaghetti and meatballs. Each dish is extremely tasteful and served hot.

Other notables are Lobster Ravioli: A classic filling made with delicate sweet pieces of Lobster claw and knuckle meat then combined with onions, sherry, cheese, and a touch of tarragon served with a creamy Alfredo sauce.

The Stuffed Shells are a treat for the cheese lover in you: Pasta shells stuffed with Mozzarella, Ricotta, Parmesan, and Feta cheese. Baked in Alfredo or Marinara.

If you're not sure what would satisfy your palate, the menu thoroughly details each dish, and the staff is familiar with each dish and specials of the day.

Start your meal with hot bread sticks and beverages, and shortly after your order is placed, salad is brought to the table.

The house salad, or "Lucky's Famous Salad," as it's referred to on the menu is made up of: Fresh green lettuce; grape tomatoes; green olives; black olives, pepperoncini, mozzarella cheese and Roman vinaigrette dressing.

Lucky's also offers a variety of salads such as: Baked Salmon Salad, Grilled Chicken Salad, or the Lobster Salad.

It's okay to bring a friend along that chooses not to eat an Italian dish; they can order a steak with their choice of a baked potato, mashed potatoes, or sautéed mushrooms.

What's an excellent Italian meal without wine? Lucky's offers a variety of whites, blushes, and a merlot imported directly from Italy. If wine is not your thing, there is a well-stocked bar, as well as a variety of non-alcoholic beverages.

After your meal, treat yourself to the dessert menu: New York Cheescake, Tiramisu, Cannoli, Italian Bundt Cake, or the delicious Spumoni, which is a blend of chocolate, pistachio, and rum cherry ice cream.

There is a booth available for a large group wishing to dine together. Also available is a private banquet room for events such as wedding receptions, birthdays, or private get together. This space is available by reservation only and can be booked during non-business hours.

The banquet room has a 92" projection television that can be used to watch a sporting events or display pictures of the guest in a slideshow format.

The events that take place in the banquet hall can be catered or if you wish you may bring in your own food.
