After intercepting 18 pounds of pot reportedly destined for shipment to a Clayton County home, authorities said they found more than 54 additional pounds of marijuana inside the home.
Clayton County sheriff's deputies said they received an anonymous tip about suspected marijuana being in a UPS shipment on Friday. After seizing the package, they went to the Riverdale home to which it was slated for delivery.
Clayton County Sheriff's Sgt. Sonja Sanchez said the UPS package was bound for the home of Troy Price, at 595 Fielding Circle. She said investigators got consent from Price to search the home and found an additional 54.27 pounds of marijuana in the master bedroom. In all, investigators said they seized 72.27 pounds of marijuana.
Price was arrested Friday on a charge of trafficking marijuana, according to Sanchez, and was taken to the Clayton County Jail. According to online court records, he is due to appear for a preliminary hearing May 18, and for a bond hearing May 21.
