Parents looking for something to keep their children occupied this summer can still sign them up for Clayton State University's various summer athletic camps, the university has announced.
The camps will be run by the CSU's athletic department, and the head coaches from Clayton State's athletic teams are scheduled to serve as the lead instructors.
Pat Keane, an administrative assistant for the athletic department, said children can be signed up for each camp, up until the day a given camp begins.
Full-day cheerleading camps will last June 2-4, and June 28-30. Half-day and full-day boys basketball camps will be offered June 7-11, June 21-25, and July 5-9.
Half-day and full-day girls basketball camps will be offered June 14-18, and July 12-16.
Half-day and full-day girls and boys soccer camps will be offered June 7-11, June 14-18, June 21-25, July 19-23, and July 26-30.
Half-day speed-development camps will be held June 28-July 2, and July 12-16.
Full-day camps last from 9 a.m., to 4 p.m., and cost $125 per youth particpating. Half-day camps last from 9 a.m., to noon, or from 1 p.m., to 4 p.m., and cost $65 per youth.
The speed development camps only will be offered in the morning.
The cheerleading camps will last from 9 a.m., to 4 p.m., and cost $90 per participant.
