Top-of-line car stolen in burglary

Henry County Police are seeking the public's help in locating a 1968 silver Chevy Camaro, valued at $50,000. It was allegedly stolen from a garage at a private residence in Hampton.

The alleged burglary, which included the theft of tools, occurred April 8, between 9 a.m., and 2 p.m., at a house in the 4100 block of Jonesboro Road, according to Police Capt. Jason Bolton.

"Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim's detached garage ... and stole his silver 1968 Chevy Camaro with black racing stripes," the captain said. "The vehicle is valued at $50,000, and displayed Georgia tag HA2BPX."

A red MIG welder, or wire welder, as well as a black reciprocating saw, and a red toolbox, containing miscellaneous tools, were also taken in the burglary, Bolton said.
