The Clayton State University Department of Visual and Performing Arts will present a free, "Clayton State University Jazz Combo in Trends and Tradition: New Compositions and Old Favorites," on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m., at Spivey Hall at Clayton State University, 2000 Clayton State Blvd., Morrow. The Clayton State Theater will present, "Everything Goes, Episode One: Big Max Takes Cab," a student-developed musical, at the Clayton State Theater, in the Arts and Sciences building of Clayton State University, 2000 Clayton State Blvd., Morrow. Previews of the musical will occur on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m.

Securus House, a family violence shelter, is looking for volunteers, until Saturday, Nov. 13. The non-profit organization is looking for bright and skilled individuals who can provide child-care assistance, be a legal advocate, participate in support groups, service the crisis line and provide clerical skills.

Individuals are able to register for "Mike's Ride," until Saturday, Nov. 13. Proceeds will benefit Mike Bassett for treatment of hepatopulmonary syndrome, a liver-induced lung vascular disorder. The Coalition of Clayton County Clergy presents an awards banquet on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 6:30 p.m., at the Morrow Center, 1180 Southlake Circle, Morrow. The Clayton County Juvenile Court and Positive Press PR will present, "Clayton's Finest ... The Clayton County Library System, in partnership with The Decorum Group, Inc., will have a "Poised Youth Program Children's Etiquette Training, on Saturday, Nov. 13, Jan. 8, April 2, and May 7; from 11 a.m., to 2 p.m., at the Clayton County Morrow Branch Library, 6225 Maddox Road, Morrow. Chick-fil-A and Piedmont Healthcare have partnered to bring "T-Shirts for Turkeys," on Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 6 a.m., to 9 a.m., at Chick-fil-A at Riverdale Dwarf House, 6549 Highway 85, Riverdale. Individuals are asked to bring frozen turkeys, or donate financially in cash, checks or gift cards, to stock the food pantry of Bountiful Harvest Food Pantry, an outreach of Faith In Christ Mission Outreach Center, Inc., in Jonesboro. The food pantry's holiday baskets usually contain canned goods and other non-perishable grocery items. These donations will supply food to needy families in Clayton County and the Southern Crescent.
