Clayton County Police have issued a Mattie's Call, in the search for a missing man.
Donald Acree, 50, was seen last Saturday, in the parking lot of America's Best Value Inn and Suites, at 6358 Old Dixie Highway, in Jonesboro. "He was sitting on the side walk. He has not been heard from since," the Clayton County Police missing person's report said. According to the report, family members indicate that Acree may be suicidal. It added that he has medical and psychiatric problems, and it is unknown whether he is taking his medications. "When he left his residence he was in possession of a handgun," the missing person's report stated. Clayton County Police spokesperson Capt. Tina Daniel said Friday that foul play was not suspected. According to police, the last time Acree was seen, he was wearing a blackcat "CAT" hat, gray shirt and blue jeans. Acree is described as a white male, with brown eyes, gray hair, and a gray beard, said police. The missing person's report said that he is 6 feet tall, and weighs approximately 250 pounds. Anyone with information about the disappearance of Donald Acree is asked to contact Detective Chris Helton at (770) 477-3781. — Mehgaan JonesMore like this story
