The Clayton County Police Department made five arrests on charges including prostitution and drug possession, Thursday, in Ellenwood.
The department's Special Weapons and Tactics, and Special Operations teams, as well as its Drug Taskforce, served a search warrant at 2328 Brookgate Drive, according to a news release issued by Clayton County spokesman, Officer Otis Willis.
Ebony Smoot, 26, and Cornique Jefferson, 21, have been charged with keeping a place of prostitution and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
Suspects, Jaquill Murray, 23, Denetrice Foster, 19, and Ashleigh McDuffie, 19, are charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce, said Willis.
Willis added that police were contacted by several residents, who complained about frequent traffic in and out of the home. "The individuals in charge of this illegal operation had a web site that was used to market for potential customers," Willis said.
The suspects' first appearance hearing was on Friday. Available court records did not list an attorney or attorneys representing the defendants.
All five suspects were being held in the Clayton County Jail, on Friday, according to jail officials.
