These players had superb performances for their team this past Friday.

Alejandro Bennifield, Jonesboro: In the Cardinals' 29-7 win over Region 4-AAAA rival Riverdale, the sophomore quarterback passed for 267 yards on 16 of 23 passing and two touchdowns. He also rushed for another touchdown.

Mychael Brown, Dutchtown: The senior running back's productive season continues. Brown rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries in the Bulldogs' 20-0 victory over Jones County. That pushes Brown's season total to 701 yards and 10 touchdowns in five games.

Stephon Brown, Henry County: The senior running back scored two rushing touchdown and caught a third touchdown pass from quarterback Chris Moody to help lift the Warhawks to a 37-6 victory against Locust Grove.

Keyante Green, Eagle's Landing Christian: The sophomore running back accounted for three scores in the Chargers' 62-0 win over Whitefield Academy. He returned the opening kickoff 95 yards for a score and had two rushing touchdowns. Both rushing touchdowns were eight yards each.

Michael Landis, Henry County: The place kicker got things started with a 41-yard field goal. He also hit on four of five extra points.

Barry Mayes, Drew: The sophomore quarterback completed 12 of 24 passes for 141 yards, and ran for 55 yards on nine carries in the Titans' loss to Stockbridge.

Chris Moody, Henry County: The Warhawks quarterback threw touchdown pasess to Brown and Chris Amos en route to the team's win.

Marcellas Pope, Stockbridge: The senior athlete continues to do it all for the Tigers. He ran for 105 yards and two touchdowns on just five carries; caught two passes for 68 yards; and averaged 34 yards on two punts in Stockbridge's 19-0 victory over Drew.

Cameron Sutton, Jonesboro: The sophomore came up big for the Cardinals on both sides of the football in their win over Riverdale. He had four receptions for 109 yards and two touchdowns. He returned an interception for another score.

Troy Wyche, Riverdale: Despite his team's loss to Jonesboro, the sophomore running back provided some offensive firepower for the Raiders. He had 10 carries for 129 yards.
