Positive Press PR will host a non-profit networking mixer, Thursday, to announce the creation of the Clayton Non-Profit Professionals group, according to a media advisory released by the public relations firm.
Clayton Non-Profit Professionals, a support group, will hold monthly meetings for non-profit professionals to share ideas, discover new volunteer opportunities, learn about new causes that need attention, and explore ways to increase donations for non-profit organizations, according to Rashida Mickens, Positive Press PR spokesperson.
"The mixer is a great opportunity for individuals to network and promote their organization, while developing new relationships with other civic-minded professionals," Mickens added.
The free event will be held at Maguire's Restaurant, in Old Towne Morrow, from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., Thursday. Anyone interested, or involved in the non-profit sector -- such as professionals, start-ups, or volunteers -- is welcome to attend, the news release states.
"These non-profit organizations are doing a lot for the community. They don't always seek recognition for their good deeds, but they deserve it," said GlenNeta Griffin, public relations director for Positive Press PR. "We, at Positive Press PR, want to encourage them to support each other in their philanthropic efforts."
Maguire's at Old Towne Morrow is located at 1055 Southlake Circle.
