Murder suspect, Errol Alexis Moore, Jr., 19, did confess to the murder of his child's mother, Clayton County Police said on Friday.

Moore was arrested Thursday, after police say he gave them information that led them to the body of a woman believed to be Janell Crystal Aaron, 20, of Riverdale. Aaron had been missing since July 15.

"The father of Ms. Aaron's 8-month-old child ... admitted to Clayton County Police Department detectives that he took her life," Officer Otis Willis, III, said in a written statement on Friday.

Clayton County Police arrested Moore Thursday, on charges of murder, aggravated assault, and concealing the death of another.

Moore's first appearance hearing in Clayton County Magistrate Court took place Friday morning, and bond was denied, according to online court records. A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Oct. 19.

According to Willis, with the information provided by Moore, police located a woman's body "behind The Sherwood Cemetery," on Tara Boulevard, in Jonesboro.

"At this time, The Clayton County Police Department is waiting on an autopsy from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to confirm the identity of the remains," said Willis.

"She [Aaron] has been missing since July, and we believe it to be her body," said Willis, at a press conference held at police headquarters, on Thursday night.

Willis said on Friday that he could not discuss whether Moore told police how, or why he allegedly killed Aaron. He also said he could not give information on any possible weapon used, or what appears to be the manner of death.

In August, following Aaron's disappearance in July, Willis told the Clayton News Daily that Moore was reportedly the last person to see Aaron, prior to her disappearance.

He said that, on July 15, the day Aaron went missing, Moore went to Aaron's Riverdale residence to pick up the couple's baby. "The child was left with him," he added. He said that Moore told police Aaron had planned to go to a job interview.
