These players had superb performances for their teams this past Friday.
Montel Buchanan, Mount Zion: The sophomore quarterback was 8 of 16 for 163 yards and three touchdowns in a 29-20 loss to Lovejoy. He had touchdown passes of 14, 33 and 91 yards.
Amarlo Herrera, North Clayton: The senior linebacker had 12 tackles in the Eagles' win over Tri-Cities. He also returned an interception for a touchdown.
Ladarrius Mathis, North Clayton: The sophomore running back lead the Eagles' ground attack with 120 yards rushing on 24 carries. He also had two touchdowns in the win over Tri-Cities.
Marquiste Mason, Woodland: Despite his team's 21-12 loss to Ola, the senior linebacker had 11 tackles. At halftime, he was crowned Homecoming King.
Tre McBride, Ola: The senior helped lead the Mustangs to a 21-12 win over Ola in a Region 3-AAAA contest. McBride had 105 yards rushing on 19 carries in addition to three receptions for 40 yards. He also scored twice.
Rico McWilliams, Lovejoy: The junior wide receiver/cornerback was all over the field in the Wildcats' 29-20 win over previous unbeaten Mount Zion. He had two receptions for 57 yards, as both catches went for touchdowns. On defense, McWilliams returned a fumble recovery 25 yards for a touchdown.
Aaron Spratlin, ELCA: The junior quarterback was a perfect 8 for 8 161 yards and a touchdown Friday night in the Chargers (6-0) 63-0 victory against Strong Rock.
Christian Reeves, ELCA: The senior wide receiver caught three passes for a 83 yards and a touchdown.
Keyante Green, ELCA: The sophomore running back had seven carries for 94 yards rushing and four touchdowns. He also had 11 tackles on defense.
Chris Moody, Henry County: The junior quarterback finished the game 8 for 13 for 107 yards. He also rushed for 104 yards in his team's overtime win against Stockbridge.
Leon Prunty, Stockbridge: Finished the game with 131 all purpose yards for the Tigers.
