The Airport Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its "Golf Tournament: The Commons at Fort McPherson," on Friday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m., at Fort McPherson. Clayton County 4-H and Youth and Development will have a "Teens' Driver Safety" lesson on Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 7 p.m., to 8:30 p.m., at the Clayton County Police Headquarters, 7911 North McDonough St., Jonesboro. The Clayton County Water Authority is looking for volunteers for its annual "Rivers Alive Stream Cleanup," until Oct. 23. The Clayton County Parks and Recreation Department will accept registration for "School Is Out 'Teacher Workday' Actividay," until Oct. 29. The children's one-day-camp will take place on Nov. 2, from 7 a.m., to 6 p.m., at local Clayton-County recreation centers. Children will be able to participate in activities, such as arts and crafts, games, swimming and field trips. Children must bring a lunch, including two snacks. The cost is $15 per child. Clayton County Senior Services will have a "SPARC 'One Stop Shop for Wellness'" event during the month of October, from 10 a.m., to 2 p.m. The event will take place on Friday, Oct. 8, at the J. Charley Griswell Senior Center, 2300 Highway 138 E., Jonesboro; and on Oct. 29, at the Frank Bailey Senior Center, 6213 Riverdale Road, Riverdale. SPARC is an acronym for Sickness Prevention Achieved through Regional Collaboration.
