According to Morrow officials, more than 100 tickets are still available for the Morrow Business and Tourism Association's (MBTA) "Fashionatta," a benefit for Clayton County Family Care, which assists low-income residents with rent-and utility-assistance programs.
The fashion show fund-raiser will take place on Sunday, Oct. 17, at 3 p.m., at the Morrow Center, located at 1180 Southlake Circle, Suite 100, in Morrow. MBTA Executive Director Mike Twomey said the "Fashionatta" tradition was started the now-defunct Rich's Department Store as a fund-raiser for the Marist School in Atlanta. He said the City of Morrow and the JCPenney at Southlake Mall are reviving the tradition, to benefit Clayton County Family Care. During the show, volunteers will model the fall and holiday fashions of JCPenney's Liz Claiborne line. Tickets are available today at the Morrow Tourist Center, located at 6475 Jonesboro Road in Morrow, or at the door at the Morrow Center on Sunday for $12.
