Queenie is a one and a half year old Welsh Corgi/Sheltie mix. She has been spayed and fully vaccinated. Queenie was being turned in at Animal Control, just as a CCHS staffer walked into the building. We learned that Queenie's mom was losing her home, had nowhere to go, and no way to care for Queenie. The intake officer was explaining that due to crowded conditions, Queenie would be killed immediately. One look at that gorgeous face and her little tail just wagging like crazy, and knowing that poor Queenie had no idea what horrible fate awaited her....we simply could not leave her there to die. Queenie has been an absolute pleasure to have in residence at the CCHS shelter. She is loving and happy, and seems to delight in every single moment of the day. She loves people and she enjoys the company of other dogs. For more information about how to adopt Queenie, please call Clayton County Humane Society at 70/471-9436.
