With the re-seeding process complete, both Jonesboro High School and Eagle's Landing Christian know who they will face when play continues in the Elite 8 volleyball tournaments on Saturday.
Jonesboro, which is in the Elite 8 for the first time in school history, goes into Saturday's Class AAAA match as the No. 8 seed and faces No.1-ranked Pope.
Pope is the No.-1-ranked team in the gasports.com Class AAAA coaches poll and enters the contest with a 51-1 record.
Their only loss came to Walton midway through the season.
Pope beat both Forest Park and Greenbrier in the first two rounds of the state tournament.
Jonesboro heads to Saturday's 11 a.m. match at Pope with a 39-10 record. The Lady Cardinals have won 12 matches in a row.
Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, the No. 3-seed, will host No.-6 seed Holy Innocents Saturday in the Class AA/A round of 8.
The Lady Chargers (32-11) are ranked third in the Class AA/A coaches' poll, while Holy Innocents (28-17) is ranked eighth.
It will be the second meeting this year between the two schools. ELCA swept the first meeting (25-21, 21-14).
