Clayton County Police are investigating the discovery of a female body, which was found in a vacant office building, in Jonesboro.
According to police spokesperson, Capt. Tina Daniel, the body was found when a realtor was showing the empty building to a client, around 6 p.m., on Tuesday. "The person showing the building contacted police," Daniel said.
The body was discovered at 315 Arrowhead Blvd., near Popeyes restaurant, in an office complex, said Daniel.
On Wednesday evening, the cause of death had not been publicly released. However,
Daniel said police suspect that foul play was involved in the death. She would not give further details.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is working to identify the body, and determine a cause of death, and police should know the results in about two days, said Daniel.
Authorities did not comment, on Wednesday, about a possible connection between the body found in Jonesboro, and a missing Morrow teenager, Monica Ambriz.
Ambriz disappeared from her job at, El Progresso #7, in Jonesboro. She has been missing since Oct. 16.
"We [police] don't even know the ethnicity of the person, therefore, I am not commenting until the person is identified," said Daniel.
