A 14-year-old Jonesboro boy was being held in a Clayton County youth detention center, Wednesday, accused of sexually abusing several children, all under the age of 10.
Jonesboro Police said they arrested the suspect at his home in Jonesboro, on Sunday.
Police added that the teen was charged with four counts of aggravated child molestation and four counts of aggravated sodomy.
Authorities said that a parent of an alleged victim reported the abuse to police, on Oct. 17. "The victim's name is not being released because he is a juvenile," a Jonesboro Police official said.
On Wednesday, police declined to give details about the specific incidents of sexual abuse.
As of Wednesday night, authorities had no comment on how long the alleged abuse had occurred. Jonesboro police said that there will be a court appearance for the suspect soon, but did not release specifics on the date.
