A Convington woman crashed into a Wendy's restaurant, in Morrow, on Thursday afternoon.

According to Morrow police, around 3 p.m., Kiara Moon drove into the Wendy's on Jonesboro Road, near the Morrow City Hall, after making an improper lane change.

"She [Moon] is cited for improper lane change," said Morrow Police Detective Sgt. Larry Oglesby. He added that there were no injuries, on the inside or outside of the restaurant.

Oglesby said, prior to the crash, Moon was driving a white Toyota Camry, southbound on Jonesboro Road. He said that after Moon allegedly made an improper lane change, into the right lane, the car behind her, a black Jeep Cherokee, driven by Sal Pratt, of Morrow, ran into Moon.

He said, according to Moon, the impact forced her to drive into the front side of the Wendy's. Pratt's Jeep Cherokee then crashed into a lamppost, which is located directly in front of the restaurant.

The Wendy's restaurant, which is located at 6241 Jonesboro Road, remained open for business, on Thursday, police said.

The owner of the restaurant, Larry Robbins, said that the staff heard a noise, and suddenly a car appeared in the restaurant. He added that he wanted to make sure that there was no further structural damage, and he was in the process of making sure the building would be secure, at night.

Georgia Power was on the scene, to remove the damaged lamppost, to insure that it would not fall down.

"Thank God, I am okay," said Pratt.
