Eagle's Landing Country Club will host its Business Expo 2010 this month, to provide local businesses with opportunities in networking and potential growth.
"It's an opportunity for members and local businesses to network and share information about their companies with other leaders in the community, and [with] attending members as well," said Russ Curtis, general manager of Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge.
Business Expo 2010 will be held on Sept. 16, from 3:30 p.m., until 7:30 p.m. The event, which is open to the public, will take place in the Eagle's Landing Country Club Grand Ballroom, at 100 Eagle's Landing Way, in Stockbridge.
"We've had three of these [events] in the past," said Curtis, adding that he anticipates between 20 and 30 business exhibitors this year.
The general manager said the 500-member country club has added more than 180 golf members over the past 14 months. He said many of the new members expressed an interest in taking part in business networking opportunities.
Many of the members are participating and will have booths at the event, said Curtis, who expects a large turn out.
"I think success would be strong attendance, and hearing back from businesses that participate, and that they were able to network successfully," he added.
Several industries are expected to be represented, according to Sarah Day, private event director at Eagle's Landing Country Club, and one of the event's organizers.
Day said companies from the medical, food, retail and service industries will be represented, and all of them are local to the metro Atlanta area.
She added that both members and non-members can participate as business exhibitors, for a fee, but the public may attend the event free of charge.
"This is a great opportunity for local businesses to network," Day said, "and I'm pretty excited to be involved in it."
