Samantha is a one and a half year old Domestic Shorthair. She has both calico and tabby markings. She has been spayed and fully vaccinated. Samantha was accidentally caught in a trap which had been set to catch feral cats who needed to be altered. Once the rescuer got Samantha out of the trap, she quickly realized that Samantha was not at all feral, but had most likely been "dumped" in the area. With the knowledge that she was probably once someone's pet, CCHS decided to let Miss Samantha remain at the shelter until a new home could be found for her. She was very frightened and withdrawn at first, but she has now become much calmer and comfortable. She is a bit concerned about the many other cats at the shelter, so she stays in a cage all of the time. CCHS hates having a cat in a cage, so it is imperative that a real home and family be found quickly for Samantha. For more information, please call Robin at 770/478-7531.
