Riverdale-based Southern Regional Health System has been recognized as one of the top hospitals in the state by the Georgia Hospital Association's (GHA) Partnership for Health and Accountability (PHA), according to a spokesperson for the health care system.
Southern Regional is one of 51 hospitals in the state to be placed in the "Presidential Category" of the PHAs' Quality Honor Roll, according to hospital spokesperson, Katie Little. She said hospitals are placed on the honor roll, based on clinical data, which is provided by the federal Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services.
"I thank GHA for this honor, and I congratulate our staff for receiving such an honor," said Southern Regional Health System President and Chief Executive Officer Stephen W. Mahan. "I'm fortunate to work with such a dedicated group, and our community is fortunate to have these individuals as their health-care providers."
