The Henry County Police Department is continuing its investigation into a shooting that occurred earlier this week in McDonough.
A 19-year-old man was shot Thursday on Rose Court of the Saratoga Woods subdivision, according to Maj. Jason Bolton.
Police described the incident based on witness accounts.
"One subject got out of the vehicle and exchanged gunfire with a subject, who was on foot," said Maj. Bolton. "The man on foot was struck with a round of gun fire."
Two men were seen leaving the scene in a gold, or champagne, Nissan Altima. Police were searching for the car.
The gunman on foot was transported to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment, according to Bolton.
Police continued to investigate the motive behind the shooting, as of Friday, the major said.
