Our beloved husband, father and brother, Edward Eddie Dwayne Cook, was called home Saturday, April 9, 2011. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Jackson, at the age of 59. Eddie was born March 15, 1952 in Atlanta. He was a golden gloved boxer in his youth and attended Lakewood Heights Elementary along with Fulton High School in Atlanta. He went on to become a well respected and sought after carpenter whose attention to detail was second to none. Eddie married Barbara Ann Bryant on Dec. 31, 1969 and spent the next 42 years of his life as a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Robert Bobby Cook, Leeann Cook and James Jimmy Cook of Jackson; and grandchildren, Jowel Swinney and Jason Swinney; siblings, Robert Randy (Desiree) Cook, Marsha Cook, Patricia Cook Kolesar (Ralph); nephews and nieces, Troy Cook, Bryan Mobley, Jessica (Jason) Lauth, Travis (Lacey) Castillo, Rachel Scott, Evon Kolesar and Ryder Kolesar; great-nephews and nieces, Dalton Lauth, Rayln Thomas, Karlie Lauth and Madilyn Castillo. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Robert Bob Cook on Sept. 16, 1979, and Ann Jean Cook on June 12, 2009. He loved hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He had a deep passion for music and loved playing his guitars. He will be most remembered for his infectious smile and his laid back nature. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A quiet memorial service will be held at the Cook residence on Jackson Lake.
