Spivey is a 1 year old Labrador mix. She has been spayed and all vaccinations are current. Spivey was found standing in the middle of a very busy road, clearly frightened and too confused to get out of the way of oncoming traffic. When a CCHS Board member saw cars repeatedly having to dodge the poor dog, she decided to pull over, catch the dog, and to certainly give any onlookers a bit of comic relief. After an extended chase, Spivey decided to give the not-so-fast dog lover a break! Spivey just stopped, sat down on the side of the road and allowed herself to be caught by one very tired, winded lady. Before finally being secured in the back of a vehicle, the slippery little dog managed to escape two more times; she was not in the mood to become a family member at CCHS! Now several weeks into her stay at CCHS, Spivey has decided she likes her accommodations. She is sweet and loving, and has enough energy to power a steam engine. She loves to play, and she does well with other dogs. She will need some training, but she will make a wonderful companion to someone who will have patience and spend quality time with her.
