Arti Gras, a New Orleans-style festival featuring live music, food, and arts and crafts, takes place this Sunday, April 17, from noon, to 5 p.m., on The Square in McDonough.
The event, hosted by McDonough Arts, is free to the public.
Food offerings will include: Creole gumbo, jambalaya, Cajun cabbage and sausage, and shrimp Creole.
There will be a mix of arts and crafts for sale. Children will be able to literally feel art at the children's crafts table, or join in an oil-painting session with artist Nan McGarity.
There will also be live jazz and blues music from the Sean Shuffler Band, along with offerings from poets, novelists, journalists, songwriters, and playwrights of Christ Literary Ministries.
