Jonesboro police have arrested a local man in connection with the assault and robbery this week of an elderly woman at a bank ATM.

Police Lt. Vicki Wright said Wednesday that Sean Ramsey, 42, of Jonesboro has been charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and financial transaction card fraud. Police are looking for two others in connection with the alleged assault that took place on Saturday.

Wright said Ramsey did not rob the woman but used credit cards stolen from her. More charges are pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.

Wednesday, police were still looking for the man who punched the 75-year-old woman in the face, and robbed her, after she made a withdrawal from the ATM at BB&T Bank on North Main Street. Wright said the suspect is from Florida and is a friend of Ramsey's son. A third man is also being sought, she said.

Police said the woman, 75, had just made an ATM withdrawal when a man wearing a red fishing hat walked up, opened her car door, punched her in the face and stole her money and credit cards. The incident was captured on bank surveillance cameras.
