Frances Louise Bohannon Washington, age 85, of Jackson, the Worthville Community of Butts County, died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Sacred Journey Hospice in McDonough. She was born June 10, 1925 in Butts County, one of nine children of Sampson and Mary Zell Lunsford Bohannon. She was married to Stacer Windell Washington for 60 years at his death Nov. 29, 2009. She was a homemaker and a long-time member of the Worthville Baptist Church. Mrs. Washington enjoyed trips to the north Georgia mountains. She loved feeding and watching birds and walking. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Claudia Washington; daughter and son-in-law, Judge Vicki and Eddy Johnston; grandchildren, Kip and Kathy Washington, Cory and Amanda Washington, Casey and Magan Washington, Becky and Chris Pitts; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Washington, Kody Washington, Kade Washington, Jackson Washington, Ayden Washington, Chelsea Washington, Cameron Washington, Whitney Gibson, Breanna Gibson, Ashlyn Pitts and Madison Pitts; sisters, Ruth Daniel, Jackie Rooks, Brenda Rooks, Doris Fincher and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Judy Pulliam, Aubrey Bohannon, Bobby Bohannon and Hazel Adams. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 12 at 11 a.m., at the Worthville Baptist Church. The Rev. Dale Davis officiated with interment in the church cemetery.
