The City of Riverdale wants to know what types of recreational programming -- mainly sports programs aimed at children -- that residents are willing to pay for, the city recently announced in a news release.
City leaders are asking people to go to the city's web site, www.riverdalega.gov/, and fill out an online survey, before a deadline of June 1, to help provide answers to questions that focus on sports programs.
Among the questions posed on the survey are: whether parents would be willing to pay for their children to participate in sports programs in the city, what kinds of sports programs they would like to see the city offer, and what time of year sports programs should be offered. The lengthy list of sports programs people have to choose from includes football, baseball, softball, boys' and girls' basketball, soccer, and lacrosse.
People who participate in the survey can submit it to the city online, or they can print it out, and either mail, or hand-deliver it to the Riverdale Centre, 7210 Church Street, 30274, in Riverdale.
