Mr. James Franklin Durham, Sr.,76, of Hampton, passed away April 28, 2011. Mr. Durham was born in Alabama, the son of the late George P. and Nannie Mae Musgrove Durham. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Yvonne Durham; brothers, Howard, J.D., Raymond and Jerry Durham; and a sister, Corrina Durham. He retired from Ford Motor Company, with 30 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working on lawnmowers, and fishing. He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God, in Hampton. Survivors are his wife, Rebecca Ann Durham, of Hampton; children, James Franklin Durham, Jr., (Frankie), of Jonas Ridge, N.C., Sherry Durham, of Griffin, Tim Durham, of Griffin, Mark Walls, of Savannah, Ruben Walls, of Griffin, Annette Cambron, of Piedmont, Ala., and James Walls, of Hampton; 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Georgia Wilson Jones, of Luella, Dot Redman, of Canton, and Brenda Hunton-Sherwood, of Williamson; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 1, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Pastor Ken Vanderford officiating. Interment will follow at the Berea Cemetery, in Hampton.
