A Clayton County sheriff's deputy suffered minor injuries, Monday afternoon, when his patrol car slammed into a utility pole on Jodeco Road, in Henry County, said Sheriff Kem Kimbrough.
Kimbrough said the deputy, whom he did not identify, swerved to avoid a car pulling out of Blackhall Road, and hit the pole.
The deputy was taken by Henry County EMS to Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, where he was treated for minor injuries, said Kimbrough.
No other cars were involved in the accident, the sheriff said.
The Georgia State Patrol also responded to the crash.
