Forest Park police said two men used a ladder to climb a utility pole to illegally connect cable services to a home on Springside Drive.
Police have charged Kendall Ronald Brooks, 36, of Forest Park and Daniel Waters, 54, of Atlanta with damaging utility company property. Arrest warrants allege Brooks held the ladder while Waters climbed up and tampered with wires belonging to Comcast Cable to restore cable service.
Police said Brooks told them he brought Waters to Forest Park for that purpose and Waters admitted changing a wire end located on the pole. Waters is also charged with giving police a false name and false date of birth.
Brooks has bonded out, but Waters is being held in the Clayton County Jail on $5,000 bond, according to jail records.
