Atlanta airport's senior management re-arranged

Internal changes have been made to the management team at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, according to a recent announcement that managers, Balram Bheodari, Richard Duncan and Roosevelt Council, Jr., have been selected for new positions in Atlanta's Department of Aviation.

"I am pleased that Balram, Richard and Roosevelt have accepted these positions, and I am confident that we will continue our efforts to improve the quality of service to the users of Hartsfield-Jackson," said Louis Miller, aviation general manager at the airport.

Miller added that he is excited to work with them, as the transition to start operations at the Maynard H. Jackson Jr., International Terminal in the spring of 2012, moves forward.

Bheodari was named interim deputy general manger at the world's busiest airport, said Katena Carvajales, a spokeswoman at Hartsfield-Jackson. His level of authority is directly under Miller's.

Bheodari replaces Robert Kennedy, who recently announced his resignation, and left on July 22, according to airport officials. He had been employed at Hartsfield-Jackson since 1999.

Richard Duncan has been selected interim assistant general manager for Operations, Maintenance and Security (OMS), the position previously held Bheodari, she said. He is currently the director of security at the airport.

Carvajales said Council was chosen as assistant general manager for Finance and Administrative Services, and will report directly to Miller. Council is currently the interim chief financial officer for the aviation department, she said.
