Three men have been indicted in two separate Clayton County criminal cases involving the thefts of metal or copper.

Derrick Frazier, 23, of Morrow, is being held in the Clayton County Jail on $12,000 bond. He was indicted for attempted theft by taking, criminal damage to property in the second degree, and obstruction of an officer.

The indictment alleges that Frazier used bolt cutters, on May 14, to take apart an air conditioning unit that did not belong to him.

In the second case, Michael Hooker, 46, of Lake City, and Christopher Clemons, II, were indicted on charges of theft by taking and possession of tools for the commission of a crime, in connection with a March 30 reported incident. Police said the men used bolt cutters for the purpose of stealing more than $500 in copper.

Hooker is being held on $20,000 bond in the Clayton County Jail.
