Frances Elizabeth Looney Frances Elizabeth Looney, of Cumming, passed to her eternal home Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, after a severe illness. She was granted peace by her Lord and Savior for the last two days of her life, and she departed this life in a peaceful sleep. God gave her four sons. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Looney, and son, Danny Lamar Looney, and is survived by sons, George Mike Looney, James Maurice Looney and Carey Alan Looney; two grandsons, Spencer Maurice Looney and Christopher Sean Looney; brother, Julian McCullough. Born May 29, 1917, Frances was a loving, caring and unique individual. Her concern and love for others is unsurpassed. She was blessed to have lived 94 years and was loved by all with whom she had contact. We were blessed by her presence and she will be revered and missed by many. She was a member of Jones Memorial First United Methodist Church for most of her adult life. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years. Her Eastern Star Chapter was Forest Park Chapter #290, and her dual Chapter was Alpharetta Chapter #311. She served the Grand Chapter of Georgia, Order of the Eastern Star, as Grand Esther during Sister Helen R. Cox's year as Worthy Grand Matron of Georgia. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 10 a.m., at the chapel of Thomas Scroggs Funeral Directors, and will be laid to rest by her husband, George, and son, Danny, at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Herb Chisenhall will officiate. The family will receive friends TODAY (Tuesday), from 5 p.m., to 8 p.m. Thomas L.
