Jonesboro police have released a sketch of one of three men sought in a fatal shooting Friday night at a Tara Boulevard restaurant.
They continue to follow tips they hope will lead to arrests.
Chief Franklin Allen said David Harris, 38, was gunned down about 11 p.m., in his parents' Caribbean restaurant -- Berris & Norma's -- at 8274 Tara Blvd. Harris lived in Stone Mountain.
"Our investigators are actively pursuing leads, but we are not any closer to making an identification of the suspects," said Allen. "We have had several leads coming into our tip-line from people viewing the sketch and thinking they recognize him."
A potential suspect arrested in another jurisdiction was cleared after a Jonesboro police officer verified his alibi, said Allen.
Allen said the three men entered the restaurant as customers. Some time later, the trio went to the back of the eatery and had some type of confrontation with employees.
"There was a conversation, or words erupted, and one shot rang out," said Allen. "The three black males exited the business and fled the scene in a vehicle."
Witnesses gave conflicting descriptions of the older model vehicle, identifying it as an Oldsmobile, or a Chevrolet Impala.
"We're still trying to sort out that information," he said.
Anyone with information about the shooting, should call Jonesboro police at (770) 478-7407.
