There is still time to get the immunizations your child may need for school, through the Clayton County Board of Health. The window -- for this school immunization drive -- is open from today, through Friday, Aug. 12. Immunizations are offered today and Thursday, from 7:30 a.m., to, 4 p.m.; and Friday, from 8 a.m., to 3 p.m., at 1117 Battle Creek Road, in Jonesboro. For more information, call (678) 610-7424.

The Clayton County Retired Educators Association will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m., at the Jonesboro First United Methodist Church, located on Main Street, in Jonesboro. The Clayton State Office of Career Services will present its Student Part-time Job Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 10 a.m., to 2 p.m., at the James M. Baker University Center. The Clayton State University Foundation's Annual Town & Gown Golf Tournament, will be held on Monday, Sept. 19, at Eagle's Landing Golf & Country Club in Stockbridge. Registration is underway for both golfers and sponsors. Teams can register for $500, or individuals can register for $150 and be placed with a team the day of the event. Sponsorships are available on six different levels, including; Event Sponsor ($5,000), Co-Tournament Sponsor ($2,500), Laker Sponsor ($1,000), Player Gift Sponsor ($1,000), Food Sponsor ($200), and Hole Sponsor ($150 per hole). In addition, the foundation is also accepting donations of prizes, raffle items, and food. For more information, call (678) 466-4463.

The Clayton County Public Library System offers many services to students, including tutoring programs for those who speak either English, or Spanish, and online practice tests and electronic test-preparation books for the SAT, GED, ASVAB, and TOEFFL exams.
