Stewart is a 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier. He has been neutered and fully vaccinated. Stewart was found wandering as a stray, and the lady who found him had tried very hard to locate Stewart's family, but did not succeed. Unable to keep him, she asked if he could come to the CCHS shelter. Stewart came in as a typical Jack Russell....he was happy and active, and excited about each new day. But after being at the shelter for such an extended time, poor Stewart has become quiet, unhappy, and seems to be sinking into deeper and deeper depression with each passing day. He is a very sweet boy, and he loves everyone at the CCHS shelter. He does not like other dogs, but is still great with people. Staff and volunteers go in and spend time with him when time allows, and he really enjoys having visitors, but once the visit is over, he slinks back into his bed and withdraws again. We are very concerned about the quality of life that seems to be lacking for Stewart. We are extremely anxious to find a good home and family for this very young dog. He needs be adopted now, while he is young, and still has time to be happy, active, and playful. For more information about how to adopt Stewart, please call the Clayton County Humane Society at 770-471-9436.
