The Clayton County Tourism Authority has added three members to its board of directors, said officials.
Clayton County Convention and Visitors Bureau spokeswoman Rebekah Cline said the new members were installed during an Aug. 9 reception at the Clarion Hotel in Jonesboro.
Cindy Kelley, Sherry Hancock and Dr. Darryal McCullough join the seven-member board, which includes Linda Summerlin, Emma Godbee, Tom Maples and Clint Magby, said Cline. Members are appointed the Clayton County Board of Commissioners.
"Appointed board members are entrusted with the development and promotion of Clayton County through public projects designed and intended to promote tourism for the county," said Cline.
Summerlin, chairwoman of the board, also welcomed the trio.
"We are excited about the wealth of financial, operational and functional expertise our new members will bring to the table and are confident they will be immediate, contributing members of our board," she said.
The authority owns the Road to Tara Museum and a 14-passenger tour bus, both of which are operated the Visitors Bureau.
