McCullough, Doris Wilson

The good Lord has called home Doris Wilson McCullough. She served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II, and spent more than three decades as a public health nurse at the Clayton County Board of Health. She is survived by her brother, Leon Wilson, of Stockbridge; son, Samuel P. McCullough Jr., of Fort Payne, Ala.; daughter, Ann O. McCullough, of Hampton; granddaughter, Kimberly Byron, of Harvest, Ala.; grandson, Samuel P. McCullough III, of Jonesboro, and her three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Natalie, and Stephanie. A memorial service will be held at the Jonesboro United Methodist Church on Sunday, August 14, at 2 p.m. The family is asking that if you wish to honor her memory, please do so in the form of a donation to the church, in lieu of flowers. An avid traveler in life, Doris W. McCullough has now embarked on her greatest journey and has reunited with Samuel P.
