Vici Marilyn Owen Roberts
Vici Marilyn Owen Roberts, 61, of Morganton, formerly of Morrow, went to be with our Savior on Aug. 19, 2011.
Vici was a devoted mother, sister and wife. She graduated from Jonesboro High in 1968. She dedicated her life to helping others. She was a retired special-ed teacher from Eagles Landing High School, and a former beautician.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Dorothy Owen; grandparents Will and Pauline Humphries, and Presley and Grace Owen.
She is survived by devoted husband, Donnie Roberts; sons, Ronnie Hilliard, David Hilliard, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Lee Roberts, of McDonough, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Lee Roberts, of McDonough; sisters, Dolores Owen, of Jackson, Cindi Owens, of McDonough, Nancy Wright, of Jacksonville, Fla; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and canine friend and companion, Cooper.
The family received friends on Sunday, Aug. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave., Jonesboro, Ga. Services honoring Mrs. Roberts were held Monday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of the funeral home, with Pastor Roger Davis officiating. Interment followed the service at Sherwood Memorial Park.
