Jersey is a one year old black domestic shorthair. Jersey has been neutered and fully vaccinated. Jersey was found at Animal Control. He had already been "red lined" which meant that he would be euthanized the next day. At that time, he was less than a year old! This sweet boy reminded a CCHS staffer of a deceased cat that she had once owned, so it was quickly decided that he needed to be rescued and allowed to come to the CCHS shelter. Since coming to CCHS, Jersey has stolen the hearts of everyone! He is sweet and affectionate, and he plays very well with the other cats at the shelter. Black cats tend to spend lengthy time in shelters; they are not easily adopted into new homes. Silly superstitions and fear can literally cost these cats their lives. If you are looking for a new feline companion, please consider Jersey (or any other black cat) as an option....you could be the person to make the difference in the life of a black cat.
