Third teen hit by car dies

A third teen hit by a car while walking along Ga. 138 East in Stockbridge Thursday afternoon died over the weekend.

Timothy Aaron, 17, died Saturday after suffering head injuries and multiple hip fractures. Antonious Bishop, 16, died at the scene. Octavius Sorrells, 17, died at Grady Memorial Hospital less than two hours after the crash, said Clayton County police Officer John Schneller.

The three friends were walking along Ga. 138 near I-675 when a car plowed into them, said police.

Police charged driver Priscilla Dianne Johnson, 48, of Lithonia with first degree vehicular homicide, serious injury by vehicle, driving under the influence, suspended license, no insurance, unlawful use of a cell phone, hit and run, obstruction of an officer and reckless driving.

Police said Johnson was under the influence of medication and arguing on a cell phone at the time of the crash. According to arrest warrants, Johnson kept driving after hitting the three teens, stopping only when she hit a light pole. When police arrived, Johnson allegedly got into the driver's seat of a patrol car, pulled away violently from officers and wouldn't follow commands, Clayton Magistrate Betrice Scott said.

Johnson is being held without bond in the Clayton County Jail.
