A spokesperson for the Clayton County Sheriffs Office confirmed that deputies have launched an investigation into an incident at Harper Elementary School, after two students there were discovered to have a small amount of marijuana in their possession.
The spokesperson, however, would not comment on how the marijuana was discovered, how the students came to be in possession of it, and whether media reports are true that say the childrens parents could be the subject of the investigation, and might face charges of some kind. Several attempts to contact school district officials for comment, including Clayton County School Superintendent Edmond Heatley, Chief Human Resources Officer Doug Hendrix, and the principal and other administrators at Harper Elementary School were futile.More like this story
