Mrs. Alice Margaret Carey, 73, of Jonesboro, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Col. Arthur T. Carey, USA (ret.); one son, Arthur (Tom) Carey, of Booneville, Miss.; two daughters, Victoria Perrett, of Savannah, and Cynthia Owens, of Greer, S.C.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Sunday, Dec. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday, Dec. 19, at 10 a.m., at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, with Fr. John Koziol, OFM Conv., officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m., at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
