Wesley McKenzie Cook, 89, of McDonough, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2011.
A lifelong resident of McDonough, Mr. Cook was a World War II Army veteran and a retired construction superintendent. He is survived by his son, Kevin Cook, and daughter-in-law, Connie Gray Cook; grandsons, Alex Cook and Keith Randall Cook, Jr.; granddaughters, Cristal Leigh Stoutzenberger and Andrea Kathryn Cook; great-granddaughter, Halle Stoutzenberger; brother, Darry Cook; sisters, Evelyn Cook Burnett and Jan Cook Stancliff; nieces and nephews. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by sons, Ken Cook and Keith Cook; daughter, Kay Cook; brothers, Harold Cook and W. R. Cook, Jr.; sister, Helen Cook Maddox. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, McDonough. Interment will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
