The Clayton County Public Library System will host a “Make a Child Smile: Mobile Dental Unit” Dec. 21, from 9:30 a.m., to 3 p.m., for youths who need dental services. The Clayton County Public Library System will be closed for the holidays Dec. 23 through Dec. 26. All libraries in the county will resume normal operations on Tuesday, Dec. 27.
The Army National Guard’s Britaney Foster has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, in Lawton, Okla. Foster is a 2004 graduate of Forest Park High School, and is the daughter of Connie Rocker, of Forest Park.
Air Force Reserve Airman Tyrone Lungrin has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, in San Antonio, Texas. Lungrin is a 2010 graduate of Riverdale High School, and is the son of Pauline Samms, of Jonesboro.
Clayton State University Health Services (UHS) is offering flu shots for the Clayton State, and surrounding, communities. No appointment is necessary for the shots, which can be administered to individuals, age 3 and older. Costs are: Clayton State students, faculty, staff, and family members –– $15.
