Numerous individuals are being sought by Henry County police, in connection with a forgery case that originated at a local day-care center.
The case began Sept. 26, when a man broke into a vehicle at the East Lake Academy, 1924 North Ga. Highway 155, in McDonough, according to Henry County Police Sgt. Mike Ireland.
“There have been numerous checks forged in the Atlanta-metro area in the victim’s name,” he said. “After the victim’s purse was taken, along with her cell phone, [a] picture of the suspect was snapped, which automatically posted to the victim’s Facebook page.”
The suspect, Ireland added, was the focus of a media release in September. Since that time, several additional individuals have forged checks in the victim’s name.
Police have obtained photographs of the forgery suspects.
Anyone with information on their identities, or whereabouts, is asked to contact Henry County Detective Michelle Sharpe by phone at (770) 288-8266, by FAX at (770) 288-8363, or by e-mail at msharpe@co.henry.ga.us.
